基頓-克萊曼與「伊古德斯曼&朱」帶著觀眾共同踏上音樂家的人生之旅，情節夾雜著真實和虛構。

故事始於學校課堂，老師強迫學生們跨界演奏，讓整個波羅的海絃樂團大跳愛爾蘭踢踏舞，從巴赫的音樂變成阿斯多爾‧皮亞佐拉的探戈風格。故事終了，狂熱的製作人以他的行銷點子來威脅這些音樂家。

身處這些亂象之中，每個人都想成為基頓克萊曼。音樂家模仿他，甚至變成克萊曼上身。在這個題材之下，呈現作曲家改編的電影配樂，以及一些經典作品，例如：顏尼歐‧莫利克奈、尼諾‧羅塔。

Comedy starts where the tools of tragedy fall short. One glance at the subtitle and one can see just how much is at stake: The Rise and Fall of the Classical Musician. This evening's protagonist, Gidon Kremer, is such an example of the “classical musician”. His real-life experience serve as inspiration, his writings as a starting point. Gidon Kremer has found a most unlikely partner-hood in the virtuoso music & comedy duo Igudesman & Joo, who themselves achieved a vast popularity through having 15 million hits to date on the Internet forum Youtube. Together with them he takes the audience on a voyage through absurdly real and made up episodes of a musicians life. The story begins at school and precedes to the class room, with a teacher who forces his pupils into cross-over, making the entire Kremerata orchestra do Irish dance and turning Bach into Asror Piazzolla. ！t ends up in the recording studio, where an over-enthusiastic record producer terrorizes the artists with his marketing ideas. Amidst all this madness everyone wants to be Gidon Kremer. Musicians impersonate him, even turn into him. An underlying theme is the cinema and some legendary works in innovative arrangements by film composers such as Ennio Morricone and Nino Rot a. We live in an age in which the market economy tyrannizes over art. The quality of an artwork is judged by the quantity of sales. We all squint at the sales-volume statistics, the chart placement and the commercial media presence. The more popular, the better…everyone wants to be a superstar！ But in consequence, we all too often lose sight of the true meaning of music:the uplifting union of feeling and intellect, the intimate and profoundly emotional expression of the soul. BEING GIDON KREMER takes a critical and entertaining look at classical music through a magnifying glass.
