方格子樂團

聞名世界的方格子樂團 T-SQURE 去年慶祝成軍30週年紀念。1976年安籐正容以閻長身份組成了 THE SQUA 眩，1978年以《LlI cky SlImmer Lady》專輯出道，最新專輯《Discoveries》已經是他們第 35張作品問世。1989年在美國演出時將團名更改為T-SQUARE，直到 2003年為迎接成立25週年紀念，T-SQUARE 暫時以過去THE SQUARE組合演出。T-SQUARE的海外演出也相當密集，除了於美國發行專輯以及進行巡迴表演外，在亞洲地區也有不錯的成績，至令已經舉辦過四次韓國大型公演，深受當地樂迷喜愛。

2004年，鍵盤手河野啟三以及年僅 22歲(當時年齡)的新人坂東慧正式加入成為 T-SQUARE 的固定成員，全新組合的T-SQUARE於2005年4月推出專輯《Passion Flower》，並於日本進行19場巡迴演出，2007 年4月紀念第33張專輯問世而將專輯名稱取名為的《33》。

2008年5月，以新舊團員齊聚一堂之特別組合：T-SQUARE SUPER BAND推出T-SQUARE 30週年紀念專輯《Wonderful Days》，其中收錄了日本麥當勞廣告主題曲(Islet Beallty)，隨即在6月進行長達一個月的巡迴演出。同年9月以「T-SQUARE SUPER BAND Special」為主題，聚集了十五位前後任團員於東京日比谷公國舉行盛大公演，演出實況於2009年2月發行DVD。

 

T-SQUARE Celebrating their 30th anniversary last year, T-SQUARE is the “pop instrumental band” that Japan can boast to the world. Led by Masahiro Andoh, “THE SQUARE"" formed in 1976 and debuted with the album “Lucky Summer Lady” in 1978. Their latest album “Discoveries” adds up to be their 35th original album. They have been keeping the heat on their overseas activities as they release albums and tour the U.S. and Asia. In Korea, ever since they first performed in 1994, they have been back 4 times and have gained enormous popularity. In 1989, the band officially changed their name to “T-SQUARE”which is the name they originally used for their American activities.In 2003, they celebrated their 25th anniversary and re-formed “THE SQUARE” for a limited time. In 2004, suppol1ing keyboardist Keizoh Kawano, who has always made a huge contribution to the band sound and Satoshi Bandoh, a new drummer at the age of 22 (at the time) became official members and formed the new “T-SQUARE.”They released “Passion Flower” in April of 2005 and went on a Japan tour going to 19 different locations, bringing out the appeal of a live band more than ever. In April 2007, they released their 33rd original album called “33”. In May of 2008, the long line of former and present members got together to be the “T-SQUARE SUPER BAND” and released the 30th anniversary album “Wonderful Days” , which includes the McDonald's ‘Premillm roast ice coffee, commercial song “Islet Beauty.” The Japan tour started in June and ended on July 5th (Tokyo JCB Hall-2,500 people) allowing a total crowd of about7000 people. In September, the 15 members performed together for a I night special concert called “T-SQUARE SUPER BAND Special” at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hal！ (DVD & Blu-ray released in Feb. 2009).
