《The Quintet: Jazz At Massey Hall》為咆哮樂歷史上最重要的一張爵士專輯，由薩克斯風手查理．帕克領軍，演出者為小號手Dizzy Gillespie、鋼琴手Bud Powell、貝斯手Charles Mingus及鼓手Max Roach共同組成的全明星樂團。該專輯是在1953年5月13日，於多倫多麥希廳（Massey Hall）所留下的現場演出錄音，集結了當時定義所謂咆哮樂風格的樂手們，將咆哮樂的精神發揮得淋漓盡致。在《堅定咆哮》演出中，將再現咆哮樂時期的榮景，並在查理．帕克的經典曲目中，融入當代爵士色彩，追求那自我表述的藝術精神！
The Quintet: Jazz At Massey Hall is the most important album in Bebop music history. It is led by saxophonist Charlie Parker, along with trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, pianist Bud Powell, bassist Charles Mingus, and drummer Max Roach, an all-star band. The album was recorded live on May 13th, 1953 in Massey Hall in Toronto. It brought together the musicians who were defined as Bebop style at that time, and gave full play to the spirit of Bebop. In Bebop Firmly, the glory of the Bebop era will be brought back, and in the iconic tracks of Charlie Parker, the contemporary jazz tone will be integrated to pursue the selfexpressive artistic spirit!
