2017 年適逢台南人劇團 30 周年，本團聯合藝術總監蔡柏璋繼新媒體獨腳戲《Solo Date》之後，再次挑戰大劇場規模製作，計畫推出個人第七部作品──《天書第一部：被遺忘的神》，持續對於人生問題進行大哉問。 蔡柏璋是個喜歡旅行的人，旅行時，對所碰到的一些人或造訪的一些城市總是有似曾相識的感覺。他因此深信，每一個相遇的背後其實都有原因，而不是巧合。《天書第一部：被遺忘的神》企圖透過幾個角色的相遇來探索似曾相識之感的奇遇旅程，同時，也藉由孟婆湯故事的重新改寫，來質問：「到底，愛，能夠有多複雜？」，如果兩個人在千年之前真的如此相愛，那麼今世重逢又何必在意那些年齡、性別、物種的差異而有所牽絆忌諱呢？愛情，本就是兩人之間的事情，不是嗎？ 《天書第一部：被遺忘的神》是一齣質疑並挑戰我們對於性別認同以及愛情看法的思辯之作，保證將再次帶給觀眾別開生面的觀戲感受，並體驗蔡柏璋劇場動人的渲染力。
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tainaner Ensemble in 2017, its co-Artistic Director TSAI Pao-chang, following his new-media solo piece Solo Date, once again challenges a large-scale theater production and presents his 7th work, The Book of Fate Trilogy One: The Forgotten God, continuing his grand quest for the answer to the question about life. TSAI Pao-chang, who is fond of traveling, always has déjà vu about the people he meets or the cities he visits during his journey. He personally believes that they are not coincidences, but instead every encounter happens for a hidden reason. The Book of Fate Trilogy One: The Forgotten God thus explores the miraculous journey of déjà vu through the encounters of characters. Meanwhile, by rewriting the story of Meng Po's Five-flavored Tea of Forgetfulness, he also intend to question: “How complicated on earth can love be?” If two people really loved each other 2,000 years ago, why should they be bothered by the differences of ages, genders or even species upon their encounter in this life? After all, love is a matter between two persons, isn't it? The Book of Fate Trilogy One: The Forgotten God is a thought-provoking play, questioning and challenging our concepts about gender identity and love, and guarantees to provide audiences with refreshing theater experience and moving power of TSAI Pao-chang's theater.
