春日降臨大地，綠草如茵、蟲鳴鳥叫，但巨人的花園內，卻被冬雪冰凍，渺無生機。巨人想念翠嫩的青草，苦思冰雪不願遠離的原因⋯⋯
我們是否曾是那個困惑的巨人。
《自私的巨人》為英國文豪王爾德（Oscar WILDE, 1854-1900）著名童話，在王爾德小兒子兩歲時創作，王爾德：「每個父親都有責任，寫童話故事給自己的孩子」。故事在銳利諷諭的筆鋒下，蘊含對世間深深的愛與生命的智慧光芒。以柔弱的孩童與花草，對比主角巨人的強大；擁有力量的巨人，反而需要孩子來解除永凍的庭院，然而，純真的愛救贖的，不只是花園。
在變幻莫測的命運之海，「愛」讓我們相繫不分離。
無獨有偶擅長運用精緻戲偶，循詩意的路徑，引觀眾進入魔幻森林，不僅讓孩子高聲讚揚，也能低頭默想，更喚醒大人童心的好奇與歡欣。無獨有偶繼經典《快樂王子》之後，再一次精彩詮釋王爾德故事中闡述的人性光輝，呈現跨越時代與國界的普世價值。邀請您與偶共讀如詩的經典童話，看強悍巨人如何破除冰雪，分享與愛的力量，讓枝枒再見春天。

Spring has arrived with grasses everywhere soft as carpets, but inside the Giant's garden, everything is frozen and lifeless. The Giant wonders why the snow never leaves……
Are we ever once the confused Giant?
The Selfish Giant is a well-known fairy tale written by Oscar WILDE (1854-1900) for his little son when he was two years old. "Every father has the responsibility to write fairy tales for their children," said WILDE. Despite its insinuated undertone, the story contains deep love for the world and the wisdom of life. The fragility of children and flowers is used to contrast the powerfulness of the Giant, but the Giant, with such strength, needs the children to defrost the frozen garden. The garden is clearly not the only thing saved by the innocent love.
In the unpredictable sea of destiny, "love" holds us together.
Puppet & Its Double is skilled in leading the audience into the magical forest using exquisite puppet mechanism and following the poetic journey which not only allows children to admire aloud, but also silently contemplate. The playfulness, curiosity and joy of adults are also awakened. After the classic The Happy Prince, Puppet & Its Double once again brilliantly presents the glory of humanity expressed in WILDE's story and demonstrates the universal value that transcends time and borders. You are invited to enjoy this poetic classical fairy tale, and witness how the tough Giant breaks the ice and snow, and welcomes spring into his garden through the power of sharing and love.
