華夏悠久的歷史文化中，以鑼、鼓、金器、石器等各項樂器素材所構成的打擊樂，隨處可及，無論是在廟堂之上的國家祭典，亦或鄉里間的婚喪喜慶中，均有打擊樂的蹤影。這些豐富的擊樂元素，隨著時間及先人的智慧積累，不僅成為重要文化資產，也成為現代打擊樂重新演變詮釋的基礎。 此次音樂會由中國鼓王安志順領軍，召集十數位中國一級演奏家及各大樂團打擊樂首席連袂演出，擊出中國五千年金與石的火花。
The percussion instruments, which comprise of the gongs, drums, and other pieces made by metal or wood, have been extensively used in the Chinese history, such as the rituals, weddings, and even the funerals. In the long term, these folk percussion music pieces become the valuable heritage of the Chinese music and the foundation of modern percussion music. In this concert, Zhi-Shun An, known as the Chinese King of drums, will lead several virtuosi percussionists for traditional Chinese music to perform varied styles of the folk percussion music from different regions of China.
