Keep swinging！ The 2009 NTCH Summer Jazz The 2009 NTCH Summer Jazz boasts an impressive lineup that is bound to dazzle the audiences. Taking the lead, the ebullient, roaring style of Preservation Hall Jazz Band is set to bring the fans the purest traditional New Orleans jazz. Next in the relay will be John Scofield, hailed by JazzTimes as “one of the giants of contemporary jazz guitar.” Boasting the distinctive sound and unbridled improvisation, John Scofield is a guru of the groove. The third performance will introduce to audiences the well-known fusion jazz band T-SQUARE, bringing its unique Japanese jazz charm. Last but not least, the coda of the feast features Stacey Kent, the celebrated vocalist who captivated the noted filmmaker Clint Eastwood with a voice like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. The 2009 Summer Jazz even features free outdoor performances in the NTCH Main Plaza welcoming everyone to experience the glamour of live Jazz. Special thank for the seventh Summer Jazz goes to Mercedes-Benz Taiwan, which had also shown their Support of the event through sponsorship in the past years. The NTCH and Mercedes-Benz Taiwan welcome all in Taiwan的 swing with the event and experience the spirits of jazz.
