創世之後，崑崙五方神族爭奪眾神之王的寶座，自相殘殺。女媧、伏羲兩位上古聖皇無法忍受眾神的殘暴、貪婪與自私，決意要以人類取代眾神，他們以遠離崑崙的東海海中小島為基地，推動計畫。 在眾神大戰中被梟首的戰神刑天，受鬼島神族召喚至花園，受託尋找花園鎖鑰，解除世界末日的危機，卻在無意中成為女媧、伏羲計畫中的主角。刑天回到神州，發現眾神都變成了神尸，而神州大地即將因無數神尸的蹂躪而恢復成毫無生息的遠古洪荒世界。鬼島神族中的泥鬼偷偷協助刑天認清自己的本來面目，進而承擔起拯救世界的任務，而這個任務成就與否，關鍵就在尋回小島之心。
After the creation of the world, various tribes of gods and goddesses in Kun-lun fought for the throne of King of Gods and Goddesses by slaughtering each other. Nuwa (Mother Goddess) and her brother Fuxi, two ancient saint emperors, had seen enough atrocity, greed and selfishness of all gods and goddesses, and thus decided to replace them with human beings. They moved to a small island in the East Sea far away from Kun-lun and used the island as the base to push forward their plan. Xing-tian, the God of War who was beheaded in the wars of gods and goddesses, was called by the spirits on the Isle of Ghosts and departed on a journey of seeking the key (the heart of the isle) to the divine garden, aiming to resolve the risk of doomsday, but by accident became the main player in the plan of Nuwa and Fuxi. Xing-tian returned to the Central Land only to find that all gods and goddess had become zombies and that the vast Central Land would return to the lifeless world in the ancient time due to the ravage of those zombies. Mud Spirit of the Isle of Ghosts secretly helped Xing-tian to recognize his own identity and to further shoulder the responsibility of rescuing the world. Was Xing-tian able to accomplish the task? It solely depended on whether he could find the Heart of the Isle.
