“ This is a play, by Director Wu, Nian-Zhen, which best explores the young generation.”
The play, with its realistic and heart-warming plot, presents the conversation between generations in the most truthful form. “ Human Condition VI” is a story about how people born in the 1970s-1990s in Taiwan struggle and make compromises in life. In an era of soaring inflation, these people are not able to have a proper salary to afford the cost of living. This generation is no longer considered rookies in the society, but they don’t define themselves as sophisticated grown-ups. Faced with practical challenges in their everyday life, these people gradually give up on their dreams and settle with the reality. With more than 40,000 audiences attending the premiere of “Human Condition VI” in 2014, this play has been performed for a record high number of times among all “Human Condition” series. This show is suitable for young adults to watch with their parents for they can not only share their happiness and sadness together in the theatre but also cross the gap of generation through this story.
