鑑於臺灣學習音樂之優秀青少年眾多，為提供參與正規管弦樂團之訓練與演出機會，自1991年起於每年暑假期間擘劃青少年管弦樂營。今年特聘請奧地利 recreation Grosses Orchester GRAZ 樂團首席客席指揮陳美安擔任本營隊客席指揮。本營隊於2019年7月17日至24日在國立臺灣交響樂團集訓，7月25日至8月2日分別於臺灣、胡志明市音樂學院及胡志明市大劇院辦理音樂會演出，希望透過兩國青少年音樂交流，在臺灣與越南間建立長期的藝術文化夥伴關係。

The International Youth Orchestra Camp presented by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (hereafter referred to as the NTSO) offers an invigorating environment for outstanding young musicians to take lessons from professional musicians and most sought-after teachers, and to participate in the youth orchestra for performances in major concert halls. All faculty members are renowned musicians from the most elite conservatories and orchestras around the world. This year NTSO invite Mei-Ann Chen, the Principal Guest Conductor of Austria's recreation-GROSSES ORCHESTER GRAZ, as the conductor of the orchestra and will hold concert in the NTSO Concert Hall. And the tour of the Youth Orchestra will visit Wei-Wu-Ying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, The Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City and The Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
