桑布伊，被古老靈魂所挹注的歌者，來自臺東山與海交界處一個卑南族古老部落。他的嗓音，帶著古老靈魂的祝福，往往能夠引領著聽者一瞬間轉換場域，彷彿進入枝椏茂盛、動物環繞的遠古空間。桑布伊自2012年至2020年總共發行了三張個人專輯，總共贏得了六座金曲獎獎座，包含三座金曲獎最佳原住民語歌手獎以及兩座最佳年度專輯大獎。
2024年，桑布伊在衛武營音樂廳的首次登場，希望以帶有傳統古調靈魂的音韻，注入當代旋律之中，透過不同過往的編曲與詮釋方式，有快節奏的電音、有實驗電子、有公路風格的軟搖滾、有歐非元素融合、還有氣勢磅礡的管弦樂編曲等，多種語言的歌曲與豐富的音樂風格，讓大家在新年伊始，感受都市、感受山林、感受海洋、感受人與萬物間的緊密情誼。桑布伊更要藉由歌聲，邀請大家一起擁抱這塊土地，對環境關懷、對行為反思，用正向的精神，得到力量、得到祝福。
本次演出邀請嘉賓-高偉勛 Shan Hay，一位來自臺東卑南族Kasavakan建和部落及排灣土坂部落的詞、曲創作型歌手，將於音樂會中帶來其首張華語創作專輯主打歌「是我太笨」，並將演唱自己和族語老師 - 洪渟嵐共同創作的卑南族語歌曲「沒有眼淚的想念」。有別於平常在流行音樂創作上的表現，除了期望能藉此機會與自己的叔叔 - 桑布伊一同分享、學習，更期許未來也能持續創作更多族語音樂作品。
Sanpuy, a singer with an old soul, is from an old community of the Puyuma Tribe in Taitung, where the mountains meet the ocean. He insists in passing on his culture, and his enchanting voice suitable for traditional ancient tunes could take listeners back to dense ancient forests with animals. SANGPUY has released three albums from 2012 to 2020 and won six awards from the Golden Melody Awards, including three Best Singer (Indigenous Language) award and two Album of the Year awards.
In his debut at Weiwuying, SANGPUY infuses modern works with his soulfulness. Through a new way of arrangement and interpretation with songs in different languages and light instrumentation, different from those in his past concerts, he hopes to lead the audience to experience the city, the forests, the ocean, and the close connection between humans and natural lives in the beginning of the year. With his voice, he would also like to invite everyone to embrace the land, and to reflect, love, and feel the environment and culture, so as to gain consolation, strength, and blessing.
This performance will showcase guest artist Shan Hay, a singer-songwriter from Taitung and a descendant of the Kasavakan Community of the Pinuyumayan Peoples and the Tjuabal Community of the Paiwan Peoples. He is set to perform his hit song Too Stupid from his first Mandarin album, along with the Pinuyumayan language song See You Again, a piece he co-wrote with the Pinuyumayan language teacher, Cokim Ruvulreng. Stepping away from his usual pop music enddeavors, Shan Hay seeks to embrace and learn from SANGPUY's artistry, with an aspiration to compose more music in indigenous languages in the future.
