一封小小銀信，乘載著遊子對家鄉的眷戀與牽掛
銀為生計，信為鄉愁
字裡行間透露出離鄉背井的無奈，謀生求存的辛酸，以及落葉歸根的情懷
願所得皆所期，所失亦無礙
18世紀，西婆羅洲坤甸一帶發現豐富的金礦資源，「下南洋」淘金熱潮成為許多人的築夢之地。出生於梅縣客家村落的羅芳伯，能文善武，時值35歲仍鄉試不第，便隨著同鄉兄弟黃大虎等人，飄洋過海到西婆羅洲開荒闢野。坤甸地方族群眾多，羅芳伯一行人抵達坤甸後，才發現挖礦採金並非如此容易......
