聖誕來臨前的夜晚，糖果屋小鎮裡的小兄妹布丁與棉花糖正殷殷期盼聖誕老公公的到來，他們帶著期盼沉入夢鄉，卻在夢中進入了關於聖誕節的華麗噩夢。夢裡面說書人帶他們穿越了西班牙、奧地利、俄羅斯跟夏威夷，最後來到神祕東方，他們卻被夢中詭異的廚師嚇醒。雖然很高興脫離了惡夢，但他們發現床頭沒有禮物，並驚聞聖誕老公公被謀殺的消息，糖果屋小鎮一時陷入恐慌與驚呼。哥哥就在此時挺身而出，願意為了大家去尋找聖誕老公公消失的真正原因，於是他與妹妹就踏上了尋找聖誕老公公的奇異旅程。

一路上，他們遇見了雪人跟賣火柴小女孩，但他們長得都跟童話故事裡說的不太一樣。雪人雖然一樣有著胖胖的上衣，但是下半身卻穿著格子短褲，看起來也比一般的雪人瘦了一圈。賣火柴的小女孩不賣火柴，改賣剉冰，只因為天氣越來愈熱，沒人生火爐了，讓她只好改行。後來又遇到一群煮湯的巫婆，把聖誕老公公以前送給他們的禮物通通給煮了，鍋子裡甚至有一頂聖誕老人的帽子，哥哥跟妹妹以為他們把聖誕老公公給煮了，大驚失色。卻發現，原來想動聖誕老公公腦筋的還不止他們。兄妹誤闖了傑克掌管的萬聖村，具有暴力幻想傾向的傑克土匪幫正在演習綁架聖誕老公公。這時來了女警跟法官，要抓走綁架現行犯傑克，卻又出現暗戀傑克的莎莉誓死為他辯護，尋找聖誕老公公的旅程進入了無限糾結的情境，但這些人，都不知道聖誕老公公去哪裡了！

當大家陷入僵局的時候，天邊突然出現一顆流星，得到鼓舞的他們，知道他們一定能找到聖誕老公公。最後他們千辛萬苦，滑著雪撬來到了聖誕老公公居住的北極，因為看到一群獎鹿的腳印而欣喜若狂，以為終於找到聖誕老公公了。但是帶領牠們的其實是一位脾氣暴躁而且正在減肥的代班聖誕老人，她告訴兄妹聖誕老公公失蹤的真相，是因為溫室效應的緣故，天氣太熱雪樣沒辦法出發，路上堆滿了垃圾，聖誕老公公熱到不行，於是穿上夏威夷裝渡假去了。

布丁跟棉花糖向上帝祈求禱告，憐憫小孩子想過聖誕節的小小願望，終於讓他們看見出現在赤道休假的聖誕老公公，卻是一閃而逝。說書人提醒大家，如果希望以後還有聖誕節可過，一定得要作好環保，愛護地球，聖誕老公公才會收假復工，繼續幫小孩們在聖誕節時完成夢想。兄妹帶著說書人教他們的方法，在回家的路上，到處宣揚環保理念，想為他們的聖誕節盡一份心力。最後，他們終於在聖誕節的睡夢中，等到了聖誕老公公的禮物，聖誕氣氛再度降臨。

In the evening of Christmas' eve, Pudding and his sister Cottoncandy, the two children who lives in Candytown, fall asleep with the expectation that Santa comes soon. But they have a dream w hich turned out to be a nightmare In their dream, the storyteller takes them through the realms of Spain, Austria, Russia and Hawaii, eventually arriving in the mystical Orient. They get scared by a creepy cook in the dream and woke up. Just as they feel glad that the nightmare is over, they are disappointed to find that the present is nowhere to be seen. Shocking news came through saying Santa Claus was murdered. Screams can be heard throughout entire Candytown. Pudding, our little hero, decided to take charge and found out the truth about the disappearance of Santa Claus. Along with his sister Cottoncandy, Pudding begins his amazing journey.

On the way, they meet the snowman and a poor girl that supposedly sells matches albeit a bit far from the description in the tales. The snowman has indeed a thick jacket but wears a boxer of square pattern. The poor girl sells ice slush instead of matches since the temperature is getting hot and nobody needs to ignite their fireplaces Then Pudding and his sister meet a bunch of witches boiling soups of Christmas presents they received previously. To the horror of Pudding and Cottoncandy, even the hat of Santa Claus can be seen in the soup. They think that Santa Claus is in the soup. Yet they soon discover that there are lots of people who try to take advantage of Santa Claus. Pudding and cottoncandy soon arrive in the village of all-saints, which is controlled by Jack. Jack's violent and delusional gang is having a drill on kidnapping Santa Claus. Suddenly a cop and the judge come arrest Jack the criminal. To their surprise, Sally who has secretly loved Jack shows up and defends for him. The quest for Santa Claus just turned into chaos. And the worst of all, nobody has the slightest idea of Santa Claus' whereabouts.

Just as the situation becomes a deadlock, a comet appeared in the sky and people start to believe they will eventually find Santa Claus. Getting through various obstacles, Pudding and Cottoncandy arrive in the North Pole where Santa Claus dwells in. Seeing the traces of reindeer, they cried with joy. Yet soon they realized that the guy driving the reindeer is not Santa Claus but a substitute. The substitute informed Pudding and Cottoncandy that because of greenhouse effect and global warming, the lack of snow and trashes on road prevented thee sledge from lauching.Santa Claus thought is was too hot and packed his aloha shirt, left for a vacation. Pudding and Cottoncandy pray to God, asking for mercy and pleading for Chirstmas wishes of children. They then have a glimpse of Santa Claus on vacation at tropical beach. The storyteller reminds that only when people start to take care of the environment and protect earth, Santa Claus can resume his job and fulfill the wishes of children.

Pudding and Cottoncandy repeat what they have heard to everyone they meet on the way home, proclaiming the importance they meet on the way home, proclaiming the importance of environmental consciousness, starting a campaign “Save Christmas.”Finally they find the present in their dream and here comes Santa Claus again.
