【Taiwan Dance Platform】Vulture & Along

禿鷹 「飢餓的蘇丹」拍下了一隻禿鷹等待在骨瘦如柴、奄奄一息的小女孩後方，禿鷹彷彿代表著死亡，與對慾望的渴求…出身高雄，現任英國阿喀郎．汗舞團 (Akram Khan Company) 主要舞者的簡晶瀅，以禿鷹觸發的生活感觸為創作靈感，探討生命存在的本質。將自我追尋中的不可定義性、人類面對宇宙萬物的渺茫與掙扎，轉化為肢體語彙。現場由重金屬巨石圈樂團 (Stone Circle) 主唱喬瑟夫．艾希文 (Joseph Ashwin)、埃及鼓手卡里姆．席丹 (Kareem Zedan) 配樂，帶領觀者透過舞蹈，追尋每個人生存的意義與價值。 順 武術與當代舞碰撞交手，以一代武術宗師李小龍的功夫哲理為編舞思想核心，香港TS Studio舞團藝術總監曹德寶及舞者以多種肢體語彙叩問，融匯並重新演繹不同的律動及表演方法，如功夫、打翻、跑酷及戲曲身段，透過來回過招審視自我。 《順》，代表不限於套路或個別的形式，而是超越套路涵蓋的技術和招式。 《順》除了是一種對功夫哲理的體現外，也是一種生活態度：如何順勢而行，又能聚焦一點，使得一矢中的，卻又不失原則分寸。曹德寶的編舞無固定特徵，無固定招式；無形、無式，以無法為有法。
Vulture An examination of the lifecycle, flaws and triumphs of humans through an animalistic lens. Having won UK's 2016 National Dance Awards for Outstanding Female Performance (Modern), Taiwanese dancer Ching-Ying Chien creates her first choreographic piece, Vulture. Inspired by Kevin Carter’s 1993 Pulitzer-Prize winning photo, “The Vulture and the Little Girl,” Ching-Ying Chien explores the life cycle of human experiences through an animalistic lens and ties the exploration to the Greek myth of Icarus and Daedlus of man imitating nature and failing. Along Re-enacting and interpreting classic fight scenes in Bruce Lee’s movies by using different physical skills suh as Xiqu (Cantonese opera), tricking and parkour techniques, capoeira, and martial arts, Along recalls the essence of Hong Kong action movie. Along is not only about the Kung Fu philosophy, but also about the attitude—the attitude of following the flow yet with principles and focusing on the core without being restricted by different forms. Influenced by Bruce Lee, Hugh Cho Tak Po’s choreography has no specific characteristic, no particular form; shapeless, formless, following no rules. From nothing comes something—then it becomes a style!
