Duplication of Dream, the knock-off version, is like a laugh-at-self ceremony that calls for a spiritual awakening while the many bodies move in rhythm on the stage. Somehow, after treacherously sleep-walking, the whole thing turns into a clash between reality and ideals. In the end, it triggers a wake-up call for the audience. In this holy ceremony on stage, the mattresses are the altars and the dancers devote their bodies by jumping on them, bumping into each other, and finally rolling off the bed. They either walk with their eyes closed or simply enjoy whatever company they can find. In the end, their choices are like a game of hop-scotch; you can either do what you please or follow the rules where they lead. This dream is full of danger but is tempered by a strong sense of humor. Maybe it is simply because that's how life is, or maybe this where a person sees the dim light while passing through the tunnel. Shu-Hao Yan and the dancers look for their chastity, youth, and the long lost selves. What do you look for in your dreams?
