一場傳統古典布袋戲的表演，不是將傳統小戲偶推上台就是傳統!主演口白的表現，操偶的細膩，後場音樂的配合，缺一不可。天宏園掌中劇團是目前臺灣少數傳統布袋戲班之一，以傳統小型木偶演出，展現傳統戲偶高超操偶技巧、動作及唱腔豐富演出內容，讓文化藝術的概念深植民眾。新年到，外出的遊子思鄉心切，返鄉過節，江邊渡船回鄉。故鄉年老父親，悠閒抽著煙，知子返鄉，喜悅坐著人力車外出等待。紈絝子弟在家休憩不着，外出觀賞陣頭。故鄉慶祝新年到，舉辦陣頭文化，有舞龍，舞獅，耍甕，耍八角巾，耍盤，耍棍，打籐牌，吹氣球，吐火，七爺，八爺神將，電音三太子，涼傘，神轎遊街，人群中一家團圓喜慶迎春，好不熱鬧。
A classic puppet theatre combines not only delicate puppetry, decent programs, but also lively dialogues, and rich music; Tianhongyuan Puppet Troupe is one of those traditional puppet troupe that has dedicated developing traditional arts and culture to the public. To present the happiness and bustling of Lunar New Year holidays, the performance includes the joy of family reunion, celebration of holidays and traditional folk arts, all presented in the puppetry.
