奇巧歌仔武俠劇場《鞍馬天狗》

這齣戲,獻給每一個曾經面對無可撼動的困境 曾經絕望,曾在悲傷中迷失的每一個人。 歌仔戲是臺灣本土代表性劇種之一,她發跡於民間,蓬勃於民間。歌仔戲的草根性與生命力,一直與臺灣庶民娛樂文化緊密結合,而其中因為日治時期皇民化運動而衍發出的「胡撇仔戲」,起因於日本政府對臺灣的戲劇演出實施「禁鼓樂」的政策。為了生存,從事歌仔戲的老前輩們,他們改變了表演的方式,揮起了武士刀、敲起了爵士鼓,創作者製作新的音樂曲調,讓歌仔戲延續下去,體現了歌仔戲生命的強韌。 《鞍馬天狗》定位為「奇巧胡撇仔」的系列作品之一,改編自日本大佛次郎先生的同名小說。原著中,一位蒙面男子,自稱「鞍馬天狗」:曾在鞍馬山上受到天狗的武功訓練,藝成下山報仇。並由此串起攘夷志士與新選組之間的鬥爭。我在改編策略上,只保留部份人物設定作為原型。以一個架空的時空,隱喻著臺灣曾經發生,人類歷史上也隨處可見的文化侵略。 直到今日,「胡撇仔戲」仍以其熱鬧的聲光、天馬行空,混融的型態,在臺灣的各廟口上演著。胡撇仔戲,彷彿是用「胡來一氣」的笑鬧混融表象,訴說著歌仔戲歷史中一段堅韌的生存故事。 呼應著胡撇仔的精神,奇巧的《鞍馬天狗》選用了一種「娛樂」、「熱鬧」的調性作為外在,包裹一個深深的傷痛,以及,面對強權欺凌的無奈。《鞍馬天狗》是一個虛構的故事。但願,那些斑斑血痕,痛楚與眼淚,也都可以只是一個虛構的故事。未曾發生,不再發生⋯⋯
This opera is dedicated to all those who have felt desperate when facing a seemingly uncontrollable difficulty and those who have felt lost in sadness. Taiwanese Opera is one of the representative dramatic forms of Taiwan. It started and developed among the people. Opela, developed during the Japanese Colonial Period as the Japanese government prohibited Taiwanese operas with the policy banning of drums and music. To survive, the performers of Taiwanese Opera changed their styles so that Taiwanese Opera can stay alive. It truly shows the tenacity of the life of Taiwanese Opera. Kurama Tengu is adapted from the novel of the same name by Osaragi Jiro, a Japanese writer. When rewriting the script, I chose to present just a few prototype characters. I did not specify the time and space so as to imply the cultural invasion that has happened in Taiwan and everywhere in human history. Echoing with the spirit of Opela, Kurama Tengu chose to present a serious theme of the wound and the helplessness of the weakness when facing the bullying of the powerful in an entertaining and fun way. Kurama Tengu is a fictional story. I only wish that all those bloods, pain, and tears were nothing but fictional. I only wish such a sad story would never happen again.
