由簡文彬指揮NSO演出的「絃舞 彼得洛希卡」音樂會，將演出三首帶著異國風情的樂曲，分別是梅湘《異邦之鳥》、莫札特《第五號小提琴協奏曲》與斯特拉溫斯基芭蕾音樂之一《彼得洛希卡》，前二者分別邀請鋼琴家羅玫雅與小提琴家諏訪內晶子擔綱，將帶著樂迷展開一場奇幻旅程。

Wolfgram Goertz, Rheinische Post Born in Taipei in 1967, Wen-Pin Chien began ro srudy violin, piano and composition at an early age. In 1988 he graduated from the Taiwan Academy of ArtS summa cum laude with major in piano, and moving on ro complete his master's degree in conducting a the National University for Music and Performing Arrs in Vienna, 1990-1994. Chien won the first prize at the International La Bottega Conducting Competition in Treviso, Iraly, 1992, the second prize in Douai, France, 1994, and was awarded the only Special Menrion in the first Leonard Bernstein Jerusalem Inrernational Conducring Competition in Israel, 1995. He participated in the PacifIc Music Fesrival (PMF) in Sapporo, Japan as an assisranr to atistic direcrors Michael Tilson Thomas and Chrisroph Eschenbach. In the following year he conducred the PMF Orchestra on tour and made his debur wirh the Sapporo Symphony Orchesrra in 1997. From 1998 to 2004, Chien was the Residenr Conducror of the PMF Orchestra. As a guest conducror, Chien has worked with orchestras in Iraly, Czech, Russia, France, Japan, Germany and Taiwan. Appoinred to rhe Music Direcror of the Narional Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in 2001, Wen-Pin Chien was the central artistic force behind the recent innovarive seasons. Under his direcrion, the orchestra has successfully creared the annual Subscriprion Concerts and celebrared ir's 20th anniversary wirh Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibefungen, the four-operas cycle firsr-ever presenred in the Chinese speaking areas and received highly praise from inrernarional press and critics. His orher position includes Resident Conducror of the Deursche Oper am Rhein since 1996/1997 season.
