2020衛武營馬戲平台特別企劃《馬戲•印象》展，精選2017-2020年於衛武營國家藝術文化中心舉辦的馬戲表演精彩影像，帶著觀眾細數這幾年來的經典馬戲活動、重溫馬戲帶來的美好時光。

深受觀眾喜愛的衛武營馬戲平台，已經堂堂邁向第五屆。無論國內、外，眾多馬戲人都在每一年衛武營馬戲平台裡，為觀眾們帶來精彩又無與倫比的演出，也和高雄的民眾共同創造了難忘的回憶。身懷絕技的馬戲人有著超凡的堅持、毅力與勇氣，他們在舞台上發光發熱，是觀眾們的掌聲帶給他們溫暖的力量與前進的動力。衛武營希冀成為馬戲人的家，孵育精采創作的實驗場域；未來衛武營馬戲平台將持續串聯國內外人才及機構資源，以高雄作為創意基地，長遠支持馬戲人在國際舞台上展現光芒。

Achieving one's dream is like walking on a tightrope. It takes years of practice and perseverance in order to perfect an awe-inspiring routine on stage. A circus not only brings happiness and joy to the audience, but also transforms the seemingly boring and repetitive things in life into interesting performances through body movements and objects. The limitless possibilities of a kaleidoscope are a symbol of the various aspects of re-imagination and representation of our lives through circus performance.

Circus．Impression—A Still Image Exhibition of Circus Performances

The 2020 Weiwuying Circus Platform will feature Circus．Impression, an exhibition of still images taken during the various circus performances that took place at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) between 2017 and 2020. We want to remind the audience of the excitement and joy they experienced at a circus performance through these exhilarating photos.

The Weiwuying Circus Platform, one of our audience’s favorite events, is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. In the past few years, circus performers from Taiwan and around the world gathered at Weiwuying to put on one awe-inspiring performance after another, creating an unforgettable experience for the people of Kaohsiung. Behind the dazzling tricks of circus performers are unparalleled perseverance, dedication, and courage. It is the audience’s applause that gives them the strength to press forward and shine on stage. Therefore, it is Weiwuying’s vision to become a home away from home for all circus performers and an incubator of creativity and experimental performances. With the Weiwuying Circus Platform, we hope to turn Kaohsiung into a creative base for consolidating domestic and international circus resources and talent to support of the career development of circus performers on an international stage.
