智能障礙者在此聚首，公民會議即刻展開。公平正義在哪裡？和平福祉怎麼求？從如何定義障礙討論起，誤解偏見無所遁形，微小至社交語言、廣大至社會公理，智能障礙交鋒人工智慧，最後飛向宇宙拯救世界。具有神經多樣性特質的群體集結起來，透過戲劇演出，讓障礙者的聲音能被專注聽見、看見障礙本身。更讓所有人參與思量：撇除障礙隔閡，該如何找到公民社會集體最大利益？
人權、性別政治、人工智慧等議題在本劇中交織。三名各自擁抱己身徵狀的演員經年累月共同創作登台演出，讓非典型的行動與思維在舞臺上被展現，在此被賦權，為自己發聲，向觀眾、向世界、向未來叩問。
劇中以公民會議現場為徵引，將劇場轉化為社會議題實驗空間；並指出會議的發生地──澳洲海港小鎮吉朗(Geelong)，不只是劇團的基地，該地更背負澳洲原住民曾被殘暴對待的歷史。延續歷史時空脈絡，《當獵人成為獵物的影子》讓在生活中頻繁面臨困境挑戰、遭逢不公對待的障礙者們，在表演中揭示自己的邊緣與羸弱，將其轉化為回應複雜結構的能量，除了演員自身的揭示與參與，也透過要求觀眾挑戰既定意識，打破障礙與否之藩籬，共同抵抗集體思想控制體制。
People with intellectual disabilities have come together for a civic assembly is about to convene. Where to find equality and justice? How to bring about peace and welfare? A discussion on how to define disabilities brings misunderstanding or prejudice to light. It covers topics as trivial as social language and as grand as principles of society. Individuals with intellectual disabilities confront artificial intelligence and even look to the space to save the universe. In the end, the story reaches the million dollar question: How do we find the greatest collective benefit for a civic society, moving beyond barriers and disabilities?
Human rights, gender politics, artificial intelligence—these issues intertwine in this production. Collaborating with three actors who embrace their own disabilities, Back to Back Theatre, The International Ibsen Award winning theater troupe known for raising political and social issues, takes to the stage unconventional activism and ideas after years of collective efforts. The show gives back voices to the acting individuals and poses questions to the audience, the world, and the future.
