KSO Season Opening Highlight • Taiwan Premiere
Puccini's most graceful and light-hearted opera, La Rondine, makes its Taiwan premiere with KSO."If one has never gone mad for love, one has never truly lived."Magda, a Parisian courtesan, conceals her identity and falls in love with the young Ruggero. Yet burdened by her past, she chooses to leave at the very moment when love is at its most radiant, taking flight like a swallow destined to journey onward.Unlike the youthful passion of La Bohème or the dramatic intensity of Tosca, La Rondine unfolds like an elegant waltz. Joined by acclaimed vocal soloists from Taiwan and abroad, together with the Kaohsiung Chamber Choir, the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Wu Yao-Yu, presents this concert performance as Puccini's poetic and flowing melodies invite audiences on a graceful journey of love, choice, and farewell.
