演出改編自丹麥童話故事家安徒生的經典童話《賣火柴的小女孩》，並將背景設定於一座假想的義大利城市──圖奇歐的聖塔史提法諾。菲雅梅塔，這位賣火柴的小女孩在寒冷的聖誕夜裡四處兜售。路途中，她經歷了善行，卻也碰到壞事。最後，很不幸的，除了身邊僅有的幾根火柴之外，她沒有任何可供取暖的東西。就在菲雅梅塔飢寒交迫之際，親愛奶奶的靈魂出現了，並且帶領她升上天空，悠遊於繁星之間，從遙遠閃亮的月亮上俯瞰地球。
A dance theatre adaptation after Hans Christian Andersen. Set in an imaginary Italian city, Santo Stefano sul Tuscio. Fiammetta, the little match girl, sells her matches on a bitterly cold Christmas eve. On her journey she encounters both good and bad. Eventually and sadly she is left nothing but a few last matches to keep her warm. The little match girl is caught out by the freezing cold, but the spirit of her beloved Grandmother appears and guides Fiammetta up through the stars, where she can look upon the earth from the distant, shining moon.
