節目簡介

跨越四百多年的愛情神話,明代劇作家湯顯祖最膾炙人口的作品—《牡丹亭》,描寫名門閨秀杜麗娘與書生柳夢梅一段跨越生死的纏綿戀曲。







《牡丹亭》故事講述大家閨秀杜麗娘和書生柳夢梅的生死之戀,是一齣歌頌青春、愛情與生命的劇作,劇作家田漢甚至作詩:「杜麗如何朱麗葉,情深真已到梅根。何當麗句鎖池館,不讓莎翁在故村。」認為其媲美羅密歐與茱麗葉的淒美愛情。







青春版《牡丹亭》由白先勇、蘇州崑劇院攜手兩岸文化及戲曲精英全新打造,遵循只刪不改原則,用新時代的審美觀、現代劇場的概念,以傳統作為根基,保留戲曲寫意抽象的空間,以簡馭繁,以古老的傳統樣式、純正的崑劇風貌,將傳世經典以青春靚麗的形式呈現在世人面前,重現「中國文學最美麗的一則愛情神話」。歷時20年,超過400場的演繹,青春版《牡丹亭》正是風華正茂的20年。





【劇情簡介】



本劇精選27折,分為上中下三本,連續三天演出全本。



3/29(五) 上本〈夢中情〉/ Part one: "Love in a Dream"



南宋時期,南安太守杜寶家教森嚴,獨生女杜麗娘嫻靜嬌美,一天與侍女春香私出遊園,觸景生情,因感成夢,夢中與俊逸書生柳夢梅相會於牡丹亭,兩人繾綣纏綿。夢醒後麗娘情思綿綿,抑鬱成疾。他自知不起,便對鏡自畫春容,並題詩記夢,終傷情而死。







3/30(六) 中本〈人鬼情〉/ Part two: "Love between a Mortal and a Ghost"



麗娘鬼魂在地府受判官審問。判官查姻緣簿得知麗娘與柳夢梅日後有姻緣之份,放她出枉死城。另一邊廂,果有書生柳夢梅寄寓南安,偶拾麗娘寫真,心生愛慕,情深感動麗娘魂。二人穿透陰陽同拜天地成婚。柳為愛冒死開墳,麗娘為柳郎回生。







3/31(日) 下本〈人間情〉/ Part three: "Love in this World"



因怕開棺事發遭官府捉拿,柳夢梅與麗娘避難臨安,寓居杭州,因柳赴考在即,二人新婚燕爾,乍又分離。柳夢梅歷盡艱辛,尋訪岳丈岳母,卻反遭杜父誤為盜墓賊人拷打羈押。幸得夢梅高中狀元,金鑾殿上,杜府闔家歡喜重聚。

江蘇省蘇州崑劇院作為崑曲發源地的專業院團,堅持古老的傳統樣式,純正的崑劇風貌,在全國崑劇院團中獨樹一幟。繼「傳」字輩之後,相繼培養「繼」、「承」、「弘」、「揚」、「振」五代蘇州崑劇人。王芳摘取中國戲劇梅花獎二度梅殊榮,沈豐英、俞玖林、周雪峰亦榮獲梅花獎。近十年來成功打造了青春版《牡丹亭》、《長生殿》、中日版《牡丹亭》、《玉簪記》、《西施》、《爛柯山》、《紅娘》、《滿床笏》、《白兔記》、《白羅衫》、《白蛇傳》等品牌劇目,成為崑劇界乃至文化界的一件盛事。



在傳承藝術經典的同時,弘揚優秀傳統文化,煥發了崑曲藝術的時代青春,成就了崑曲文化現象。







總製作人暨藝術總監/白先勇

臺灣文學作家,旅美學人夏志清曾讚譽其為「當代中國短篇小說家中的奇才,五四以來,藝術成就上能與他匹敵的,從魯迅到張愛玲,五、六人而已。」曾創辦《現代文學》雜誌。著有短篇小說《寂寞的十七歲》、《台北人》、《紐約客》、 散文集《驀然回首》、長篇小說《孽子》、話劇劇本《遊園驚夢》等。多部小說被改編為電影電視及舞台劇,作品還被譯成英、法、德、意、荷、日等多種文字。



自詡「崑曲義工」,近年致力於推動崑曲新美學,其製作之青春版《牡丹亭》、新版《玉簪記》在海內外均得到極高贊譽。2006年,青春版《牡丹亭》美西巡演十二場,反應空前熱烈,媒體稱為1930年自梅蘭芳赴美演出後,中國傳統戲曲對美國知識界最大一次衝擊。青春版《牡丹亭》曾在海內外三十多所高校巡演,吸引數十萬青年學生觀眾,在華人世界造成崑曲復興運動。

The Peony Pavilion – The Youth Version, a classic in Kunqu opera of our time. The acclaimed production seamlessly blends the traditional art of Kunqu with modern aesthetics to recreate the 400-year-old romantic love legacy.



The Peony Pavilion – The Youth Version is a story of love and about love. The libretto is based on the Ming drama The Peony Pavilion, the magnum opus of the great Ming dynasty dramatist, Tang Xianzu (1550–1616), and arguably the most famous of all Kunqu operas, is a poetic musical about undying love. A story line rivaling Romeo and Juliet.



Renowned novelist Pai Hisen-yung has been the chief producer and artistic director of The Peony Pavilion – The Youth Version , with top Kunqu performing artists Wang Shiyu and the late Zhang Jiqing as artistic consultants. China Theatre Plum Blossom Award winners Shen Fengying and Yu Jiulin will revisit the Taiwan stage to bring opera fans the touching love story of Du Li-niang and Liu Meng-mei that transcends death.







Performer/Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theatre of Jiangsu

As a professional performing arts company located in the birth place of the Kunqu art form, the Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theatre of Jiangsu stands out among the other troupes through its efforts to uphold the age-old traditional format and the unadulterated style and features of Kunqu Opera. The theatre has groomed five generations of performers, numbering over a hundred, and boasts numerous renowned artists such as Wang Fang, Shen Fengying, Yu Jiulin and Zhou Xuefeng.



The company has, in the last decade or more, made landmark achievements in not only the Kunqu Opera circle but also the cultural milieux in general through the creation of their signature productions. While the company has contributed to the perpetuation of the art form and its classical repertory, at the same time it has continued to make Kunqu a timeless art and Kunqu Opera a cultural phenomenon.









General Producer/Pai Hsien-yung

Pai is a world renowned writer, playwright and producer of Kunqu. His many highly acclaimed novels and short stories have been translated into different languages and adapted for film, television and the stage.



Regardless of whether he was writing creative works in Taiwan, Pai's love affair with Kunqu opera has never weakened. He was involved in the productions of The Peony Pavilion – The Youth Version and The New Edition Jade Hairpin among others. He took on the task of creating an adaptation that is suited to modern tastes and yet remains faithful to the original opera, including all the traditional performance practices of Kunqu opera.
