一九五〇年代，在咆勃的喧囂之後，「酷」誕生了。
小號手邁爾士．戴維斯以沉穩而優雅的風格，翻轉整個世代的音樂印象，掀起酷派爵士狂潮。從此，聽爵士成了一件很酷的事！
兩廳院夏日爵士節慶樂團集結美日臺爵士好手，再現酷派經典！由小號手魏廣晧領軍，麥可．摩斯曼擔任音樂總監與小號手，攜手臺灣鼓王黃瑞豐、薩克斯風手安東尼歐．哈特、楊曉恩、李承育、長號手尼克．哈維爾、吉他手山田豪、鋼琴家許郁瑛、低音提琴手山田洋平、鼓手克里夫．阿蒙德、獲葛萊美「十大爵士新秀」殊榮的旅美鐵琴手魯千千，以全明星多元編制重遊爵士黃金年代！
In the 1950s, after the rowdy whirlwind of bebop, Cool was born.
With his calm yet elegant style, Miles Davis reshaped the musical sensibilities of an entire generation and ignited the Cool Jazz revolution. From then on, listening to jazz became the epitome of cool.
This summer, the NTCH Summer Jazz gathers top jazz talents from the U.S., Japan, and Taiwan to revive the essence of Cool. Led by trumpeter Stacey Wei, with Michael Mossman as music director and fellow trumpeter, the stellar lineup features Taiwan's legendary drummer Rich Huang, saxophonists Antonio Hart, Shawna Yang, and Lee Cheng-yu, trombonist Nick Javier, guitarist Go Yamada, pianist YuYing Hsu, bassist Yohei Yamada, drummer Cliff Almond, and Grammy-recognized vibraphonist Chien Chien Lu, named one of "10 Emerging Jazz Artists." With this all-star, cross-cultural ensemble, they bring the golden age of jazz back to life.
