巴雀弦樂團成立四年以來，總是以純粹、內斂的演奏詮釋吸引著各地觀眾。今年《巴雀．英倫》演出，我們將著重於二十世紀後的英國作品，包含：艾爾加名作《序奏與快板》、佛漢．威廉斯向英國十六世紀讚美詩致敬的《塔利斯主題幻想曲》、芬濟以古代牧歌為靈感的《田園詩曲》、布瑞頓根據英國詩人濟慈的詩所創作的《青年阿波羅》，以及他在國內頗負盛名的作品《簡易交響曲》。綜觀古典音樂史的發展與變化，英國音樂蘊含了感性與理性的底蘊，以及田園與詩歌的各種風貌，期望藉由這場音樂會讓臺灣觀眾更深入地認識英國音樂的知性美。

Camerata Taiwan, founded four years ago, has always drawn its audiences with pure and refined performances. This year’s “England & Camerata Taiwan” will feature 20th century British composers, including Edward Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro for String Quartet and String Orchestra, Vaughan Williams’sFantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, Gerald Finzi’s Eclogue for Piano and Strings, and Benjamin Britten’s Young Apollo and Simple Symphony. British music, though developed slightly later than traditional German-Austrian music, lay its foundation on both rationality and sensibility. It’s also rich in its connection with pastoral and poetry. Through this concert, we hope to introduce our audiences to a deeper understanding of the intellectual beauty in British music.
