吾鄉吾土 : 台灣民謠交響詩

幼獅合唱團為帶動全國的音樂風氣及協助本國作曲家作品發表，在教育部、救國團總團部及各界熱心音樂人的參與下，於1965年五月成立幼獅合唱團。本團成立宗旨，在於聯合北區各大專院校熱衷合唱音樂的同學，並提供最好的環境、師資，使團員在切磋之餘尚能耳濡受教。而本團最終目標，則是在努力中求進步，俾使幼獅合唱團成為大專院校推廣合唱運動的中堅力量，進而帶動全國的音樂風氣。合唱團成立迄今已十八年，歷經李抱忱、蕭碧珠、陳澄雄、劉德義四位指揮。目前在團長楊允昆先生──現任救國團總團部文教處處長與代指揮楊鳳鳴老師，名聲樂指導廖葵、林桃英、駱正榮、吳聲吉、周安玲、梁憲怡、白玉光諸位老師的潛心教導及團員努力之下，素質日高，每年除舉行定期公開演唱會，假期中巡迴全省演唱外，並曾多次於國家的重要慶典中擔任演出，深獲好評。並曾應邀赴菲律賓、新加坡、泰國等地巡迴演唱，意義重大，除達成文化交流任務，並宣慰僑胞。幼獅合唱團謹以大專青年的熱忱，藉宣揚樂教，完成當今中國青年應擔負的時代使命。

China Youth CorpsYouth Chorus The Ministry of Education, the China Youth Corps and music enthusiasts in Taiwan jointly sponsored the establishment of the China Youth Corps Youth Chorus in May 1976. The Chorus has committed itself to fostering music appreciation in Taiwan and offering local musicians a venue to present their works. The Chorus gathers music - loving students from colleges and universities in northern Taiwan, providing them with the best possible environment and instructors under whom to pursue their interests. Members share the belief that the Chorus will serve as a model for Taiwan's college and university choruses and contribute to having music resound throughout the country, Over the past 18 years, the China Youth Corps Youth Chorus has been conducted by Lee Pao-chen, Hsiao Pi-chu, Chen Cheng-hsiung and Liu Te-yi. The Chorus has continued to make steady progress under the guidance of current director Yang Yun-kun, who also heads the China Youth Corps' Cultural and Educational Affairs Department, acting conductor Yang, Feng-ming, and other vocal music teachers including Liao Kuei, Lin Tao-ying, Lo Cheng-jung, Wu. Sheng-chi, Chou An-ling, Liang Hsien-yi and Pai Yu-kuang. In addition to annual performances and concert tours aroundthe island during school holidays, the Chorus has performed and won wide acclaimation on many of the ROC's festive occasions, The Chorus has also made appearances in the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, entertaining both foreign friends añd overseas Chinese. In the days ahead, the China Youth Corps Youth Chorus is committed to making an even greater contribution to advancing music in Taiwan.
