樂曲解說 撰文 / 呂懿德 隨著耶誕的腳步愈來愈近，范歐塔與瑞典室內樂團為台灣愛樂者帶來了與節慶有關的宗教音樂、耶誕歌曲以及一些瑞典傳統民謠，除了古典音樂標準配置的樂絡伴奏之外，另外還加上罕見的瑞典傳統樂器尼可哈芭鍵提琴，更為這場音樂會增添特殊的曲趣。音樂會由瑞典民謠 Hjortingen 揭開序幕，這首歌因活躍於 19世紀後半迄 20世紀前半的瑞典提琴和 Hjort Anders Olsson 的演出而廣為流傳。

Klingar mina klockor 是瑞典作曲家、 ABBA 流行樂團團員 Benny Andersson 於 1987年發行的專輯名稱，其中長達11分半的主題曲就叫 Klinga mina klocker ，由當時 Benny 的妻子 Anni-Fird Lyngstad ( 後來兩人離婚 ) 主唱。

Anna’s visa 由與 Benny Andersson 齊名的 Leif Goras 譜曲，范歐塔及貝克曼撰詞。

手風琴獨奏了阿根廷作曲家皮亞佐拉熱情活潑的 ( 自由探戈 ) 之後演出自四首耶誕歌曲一 ( 耶誕之歌 ) 、 ( 鮮豔的冬青果 ) 、 ( 接近伯利恆 ) 及 ( 歡頌之歌 ) 組成的集錦歌。其中 ( 耶誕之歌 ) 由歌手 Mel Tonné 完成於 1944年盛夏，據 Mel Torme 自稱當時他該寫曲，希望為揮汗如雨的熱天增添一絲涼意。

( 鮮豔的冬青果 ) ( 又稱〈這是耶誕時分〉 ) 、 ( 接近伯利恆 ) 及 ( 歡頌之歌 ) 三首歌曲都是英年早逝的爵士樂手 A1fred Burt 的作品，在他短短 33載的生命中，他幾乎每年耶誕都譜一首頌歌。這三首歌曲分別完成於 1950、1947 及 1954 年。

( 祂已降臨人間 ) 是巴赫完成於 1736年的作品 BWV493 的聖歌，讚頌耶穌基督為世人之罪來到塵世。緊接著的〈水〉一曲由尼可哈芭鍵提琴獨奏，描繪北歐嶙峋聳立的峽灣地形。〈明天我將歡欣鼓舞〉是英國傳統的耶誕頌歌，曾由多位作曲家改編為不同的版本，其中以買德納的版本最受歡迎。

Hugh Martin 所譜的〈盡情享受可愛的聖誕節〉 因茱蒂嘉蘭 ( 《綠野仙蹤》的童星女主角 ) 1944 年在米高梅的歌舞劇《相逢聖路易》中演唱而成為家喻戶曉的名曲。本場音樂會的上半場節目在耳熟能詳的 ( 平安夜 ) 中結束， ( 平安夜 ) 由奧國一小鎮教堂管風琴手葛魯伯在 1818年為耶誕禮拜而語譜 ( 相傳他因教堂管風琴故障而寫出這首可供清唱的曲子，但經過考據，故事的真實性不高 ) ，不論歌詞或的調都充滿撫慰人心的力量。

〈耶穌，吾民所仰望的喜悅〉由卓越的女鋼琴家麥拉，海絲根據巴赫清唱劇 《心靈、口、行為與生命》， BWVl47 編，提供獨奏者充分炫技的機會。在膾炙人口的拿披星民謠 ( 聖露西亞 ) 之後演唱的 ( 瑪莉亞的搖籃曲 ) 選自雷格作品 76 的《簡易旋律集》，這套包含了 60 首短歌的曲目今日大半失傳，但這首 ( 瑪莉亞的搖籃曲 ) 卻始終受到愛樂者歡迎。鋼琴獨奏出洋溢著狂歡氣氛的Sussex 民謠，緊接著遊樂團合奏了三首瑞典傳統民謠。大提琴獨奏疾馳特殊的 ( Black Run ) 之後，演唱了自蘇菲瑪索主演的《第一次接觸》中的同名主題曲。

( Sway ) 為墨西哥作的家Pablo Beltrán Ruiz 完成於 1953 年的受波歌曲 ( Qllien sera ) 的英文版。

( 啄食的雀鳥 ) 自巴西作的家 Zeqllinha de Abreu 在 1917年所譜，採用通行於巴西葡萄牙族裔的 choro 形式，這是略帶傷感的小調樂曲。

( 彷彿天使 ) 是 Benny Andersson 為 ABBA 所譜的另一首樂曲，也是他們最後一張專緝錄音 ( The Visitors ) 中的最後一曲。【謝謝這美妙的音樂】是 ABBA 於 1994 年發行的整套錄音的標題，包含四張唱片及 66首曲子。【謝謝這美妙的音樂】分別出現在第二及第四張唱片中， ABBA 現場演出時經常以此曲作為演唱會最後的壓軸，范歇塔同樣以此曲為她的演唱會劃上句點。

Notes With Christmas approaching, Anne Sofie von Otter and her Merry Swedish Gentlemen will display sacred music, Christmas songs, and Swedish folk songs in this concert. In addition to the instruments often used in a standard classical performance, some instruments more common for the folk ensembles, such as accordion and nyckelharpa, are used. They bring special savor into the music. The concert kicks off with Hjortingen, a traditional Swedish song. Ensued is K1inga mina klockor, the title song from ABBA's album with the same tittle published in 1987. Written by Benny Andersson, the song features Benny's ex-wife AnniFrid Lyngstad. The next piece Anna's visa is composed by Leif Goras, a Swedish musician as popular as Benny Andersson. After Piazzolla's passionate Libertango portrayed by the accordion solo, the medley comprising four Christmas carols,的e Christmas Song, Bright, bright the Holly Berries, Nigh Bethlehem, and Caroling, Caroling, is performed. The Christmas Song, composed by Mel Torme in hot summer of 1944, reveals Torme's desire for the cold weather. The other three of the medley are the works of the talented jazz musician Alfred Burt, who passed away at thirty-three. During his 1ifetime, he wrote one carol for each Christmas. These three were written in 1950, 1947, and 1954 respectively. O Jesulein is J.S. Bach's sacred song, BWV493 written in 1736 The lyrics depict our gratefulness for Jesus' birth. Vatten , “water” in Swedish, is a solo for nyckelharpa, which illustrates the fjord’s magnificence. Tomorrow shall be my dancing day is an English folk song with many adaptations; the well-known version arranged by John Gardner is employed. Have yourself a merry little Christmas, composed by Hugh Martin, was immortalized when Judy Garland sang in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in SI. Louis. The first half of this concert ends with Gruber's know-to-all Silent Night. The prestigious female pianist Myra Hess adapted “Jesu bleibet meine Freude” from J.S. Bach's cantata. Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147. It is a challenge to the performer. Subsequent to the famed Neapolitan folk song Sankta Lucia, is“Maria Wiegenleid ,from Reger's Schlichte Weisen, Op. 76. Although Reger's Schlichte Weisen is consisted of sixty short pieces, only “Maria Wiegenleid' became a commercial hit. Ensued are four folk songs well-known in the Northern Europe, which are performed on the instruments. The fast Black Run showcases the skills of the cellist. Ensued is Boum！, which is the title song from the movie with the same title. Sway is the English version of Mexican composer Pablo Beltran Ruiz’s mambo song Quien sera written in 1935, while Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu employed the Choro from, to write his Tico-Tico on Fuba in 1917. “Choro”meaning “lament” in Portuguese, displays the gloomy pathos of the music. Like an angel, written by Benny Andersson for ABBA, appeared in their last album The Visitors as the concluding piece, Thank you for the music, another piece by Benny Andersson, is also the little of ABBA’s 1994 set, which comprises four discs and sixty-six tracks. In the past, ABBA often Used the song to end their concert in climax, which is followed by Anne Sofie von Otter.
