六賊亂政的某朝代，泉州有一位琴藝高超、性格冷傲的音樂家顧林隱，因娶了秦准河畔的名妓江錦瑟為妻，引起王子公孫的妒恨。他厭倦送往迎來的俗世生活而避居貂山，過著與世隔絕的日子，以為從此可以過著神仙佳侶的幸福生活。誰知他一首諷刺朝廷的歌曲《六月寒》觸怒當朝，巡撫莫言可奉命陷他入罪逮捕。幼女慕香滿週歲的一天，正是顧林隱一家四口生離死別的劫難…
Lin-Yin Ku, an outstanding yet aloof musician in an anarchic time, had been the target of aristocrats’ jealousy due to his marriage with the famous courtesan Chin-Se Chiang. Ku tried to leave the mundane world, but he was accused of satirizing the court with his song Chill in the Sixth Month. On his daughter’s birthday, he was sent to prison by an official named Yen-Ke Mo, and thus the family was separated by the misfortune...
