沒有故事。我們甚至無法確定是否有演員。他們是一群試著不要自我逃避以及不要逃避別人的人，他們也試著不要逃避死亡。為了門爭，他們在嘴裡堆積幾十句句子，當作他們唯一的武器。這些句子是從契訶夫的五個劇本中抽出來的，這不重要，對大環境來說，重要的是，這些句子是演員自己挑選的;重點不是在於他們的句子而是在於他們試圖說明什麼以及他們如何說明。與其照劇場慣例和其他人一塊兒對戲，每個人卻從與別人分開排戲出發，閉門造車;戰爭慢慢就會發生。整齣劇的構想好比電影裡用慢鏡頭拍緝的一場意外，最後幾秒是最緩慢的。
